This is a nice shot of an area in downtown SF, one of the major cities on the California coast, and imbued with plenty of great history. This was the first time I've ever been in an office building where you were required to sign in at a security checkpoint... but I think the view from the 11th-floor "penthouse" conference area was well worth it

A close inspection will net you some "purple fringing" on some of the lights, which unfortunately can't be helped... the downside to having a powerful 10x zoom in a compact camera, I suppose. All things considered, however, it's not nearly as bad as some examples I've seen from other ultra-zoom cameras.
